I have regained my mood and pleasures in my life which I had missed totally for Nearly a year.

Mental depression is a horrible state of mind where a person is driven away from pleasures of life.It is a total detachment of oneself from the daily routine and if nurtured, the depression advances and the patient feels hopeless and helpless.
Early detection is very important .
In March 2023 my sister faced severe depression and this phase of her continued till April 2024.
Despite of treatment with several antidepressants she slowly faced with drug resistant depression.

This was the time when we were introduced to Dr Chetan Rathod by Dr Kaushik Mehta the incharge of Aastha hospital at Andheri West.
Dr Rathod checked Mrudula by talking to her, checked Mrudulas memory, checked her footsteps, her body balancing and came to a conclusion that she would respond to Electro convelsive therapy ( ECT) since no antidepressants would work on her.
He explained me the pros and cons of the ECT treatment (merits and demeritsof the treatment).
I decided to go ahead with the treatment and Dr Chetan administered 10 ECTs on alternate day basis.
During this period he was very compassionate, polite, explained me her condion thoroughly well, wrote the medicines religiously, and I felt his presence as a family member rather than a doctor. He thoroughly respects our emotions and gives his best in doctor patient relationship. Hat's off to him being a doctor as he is really great as a psychiatrist and a psychologist who gives his 💯 percent to the patient.
May God bless him in his future endeavours.
